The Sangeet is the warmup or casual-yet-energetic music nights in the South Asian wedding festivities. Instead of a week-long wedding, many couples have opted for 2-day wedding over the last 2 decades and have combined this event to include cultural ceremonies. Nowadays, depending on the community you’re from, this could be known to you as Garba, Pithi, Haldi, Holud, Mehndi (Henna) or just Sangeet. These events usually start with cultural ceremonies followed by performances leading to open dancefloor.
